The calculations are based on the worst case scenario, with the coldest winter design temperatures, using the details you provided, and the values given in the ASHRAE Handbook and ACCA Manual J for Residential Load Calculations. Where possible, WarmlyYours will make recommendations of how to lower the heat loss in the room and how to make up for possible shortfalls in heating power. Heat Loss Calculator is not designed as a replacement for professional, comprehensive heat loss investigations as performed by trained and specialized heating engineers, and WarmlyYours makes no pretence that the results obtained by using Heat Loss Calculator will be of the same accuracy as a professional heat loss investigation.
